at a loss
an utter loss
languishing taut jaw clenched in that loss
motionless
‘n petrified
‘n harrow-scarred
‘n sick
wellspring of vast despair
despoiling spirit
And so, to remain informed
is to remain in terror?
Grief is Love enduring!
Rage is Hope yet holding!
Die standing on the hill
that this century may yet
see wonders.
