I Dreamed I Saw The QueenKing’s Face In Person, There Before Me

I dreamed I saw
the QueenKing’s face
in person,
there before me,
so bound by th’glass
of ambered time –
a form adorned in beauty.

I wept
[Pretentious.?. – cried]
with awe
to share both space ‘n time
with th’hands ‘n thoughts
of those that shaped
their present into mine.

Eternal life
for those who leave
their soul
upon the earth;
for those who make
their mind’s eye manifest;
their spirit birth!

But th’whims of choice
‘n change ‘n chance
‘n circumstance
prevail…
Mere centuries;
millennia – t’live on
to no avail‽

Oblivion.
Forgotten… Lost.
Abandoned. Unrecalled.
These things of ancience;
permanence –
time,
tenuously stalled…

And though I dreamed
I saw that face,
that ghost
of human craft,
unbridging time
keeps on at pace,
intent upon the past!

And though I cried
with awe to sense
the presence
of those lives,
time took my dream
‘n draped instead
the morning ‘cross my eyes.
